GRAUKUNST: ARTNROLL
The exhibition GRAUKUNST - ARTNROLL shows works by artists and musicians involved in the crossover between disciplines of music and art and has been curated by Belgian artist and sculptor Johan Tahon and Grauzone festival. The exhibition GRAUKUNST - ARTNROLL shows works by artists and musicians involved in the crossover between disciplines of music and art and has been curated by Belgian artist and sculptor Johan Tahon and Grauzone festival. Participating artists are Johan Tahon himself, Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth), Marissa Nadler, Gemma Thompson, Colin H. Van Eeckhout (Amenra) and Maarten Kinet (Amenra), Kristoffer J. Monty (Amenra) and Paulina Greta (video artist).
During the opening on February 2, Dutch inventor of musical instruments Yuri Landman will make a live performance and lecture about his work. He made instruments for Sonic Youth and inspired some of his works on the theory of Glenn Branca.The second GRAUZINE publication will also be presented, a zine about the exhibition with text and image of the participating artists. During Grauzone festival, Unmoor Kiva (band of Gemma Thompson), Lee Ranaldo and the Belgian post-punk The Wild Classical Music Ensemble will give a performance in the exhibition space in The Grey Space In The Middle.
