Graustad: Ensemble Klang

Grauzone presents several free concerts under the name "Graustad''. One of them is The Hague-based Ensemble Klang celebrates its 20th anniversary, marking two decades of new sonic creations and music collaboration.

At the concert they will present a piece with elements of Zappa, minimalism, and TV jazz, Monster is a multipart instrumental piece inspired by self-redemption and the terror of the modern world. Composer John De Simone experienced a life-changing revelation while watching an episode of Mad Men. As he transformed his own life, he witnessed the political, economic, and ecological world deteriorating. These four parts, composed for Ensemble Klang in 2018, bear the following titles and descriptions:
