Emma Ruth Rundle added to the line up for Grauzone 2023
We are proud to share that Emma Ruth Rundle has been confirmed for the 2023 edition, alongside previously confirmed acts such as Squrl with Jim Jarmusch, A Place to Bury Strangers, Lebanon Hanover, Pablo Bozzi, Minuit Machine, Zanias and many more others.
Dark goth folk star Emma Ruth Rundle is added to the line-up of Grauzone 2023! Singer/songwriter, guitarist, and visual artist Emma Ruth Rundle is an accomplished solo artist, whose evocative gothic folk recalls contemporaries like Chelsea Wolfe, with whom she also collaborated and toured. Her beautiful poetic songs, which are released on labels such as Sargent House (also Chelsea Wolfe, Wovenhand) and Sacred Bones (SQÜRL, Soft Moon, Marissa Nadler, Molchat Doma) are situated somewhere between gothic folk, post-rock, shoegaze and ambient. Rundle constantly balances on the border between minimalism and heavy sounds and emotions. Her latest album ''Electric Guitar Two: Dowsing Voice'', released earlier this year, is called ''a haunting, post-folk masterpiece''.
After co-organising a sold out show for Emma and her band at Paard in 2019, we are happy that Emma will play a solo show at Grauzone Festival. Her passionate live performances are renowned as much as her songcraft and this will be an incredibly special and intimate show!
From Friday February 10 to Sunday February 12 2023, Grauzone returns to The Hague for its tenth anniversary edition.
