Rehash (BE)
The Antwerp-based (post-)punk band Rehash, founded in 2021, is making waves with their raw and uncompromising sound. Playing at Grauzone for the first time, this dynamic trio has rapidly risen to prominence in the local punk scene, earning a loyal fanbase. Known for their fast, inventive riffs and German-language lyrics, Rehash provides a rebellious soundtrack that resonates deeply with the (Antwerp) youth while shaking up the established order.
In early 2024, Rehash opened for the farewell concert of legendary band De Brassers at Ancienne Belgique, earning praise from both the audience and Stijn Meuris himself. The band also reached the semifinals of Humo’s Rock Rally, where their sharp sound and tight rhythm section were highlighted by critics, despite narrowly missing the finals.
For their debut single ‘Autobahn’, the group collaborated with Yunas de Proost from Meltheads. Later, Pieter Van Buyten (bassist for Flip Kowlier, among others) joined them to record ‘Das Bauhaus’ and ‘PANIK’. The band’s tracks have gained significant traction on Spotify, with thousands of streams reflecting their growing popularity.
Rehash’s debut EP ‘Aktion Reaktion!’ was released on October 24 through the German label Mangel, showcasing their defiant and energetic punk ethos. Their performance at Grauzone promises to deliver a high-energy set that is not to be missed.
