Topographies (Us)
San Francisco and Los Angeles-based band Topographies creates a haunting blend of shoegaze, post-punk, and coldwave. Founded by Justin Oronos, Jeremie Ruest, and Gray Tolhurst, their sound is steeped in dreamy textures and introspective lyrics. Their 2020 debut album Ideal Form set the tone for their evolving style, while their latest album Interior Spring (2024) further solidifies their place in the ethereal coldwave scene. Fun fact: vocalist Gray Tolhurst is the son of Lol Tolhurst, the legendary drummer of The Cure.
