TR/ST (formerly Trust) returns to Grauzone! This time with a brand-new album, Performance, released in 2024 via the esteemed DAIS Records. Known for fostering groundbreaking talent like Riki, High Vis, SRSQ—all acts who will perform during Grauzone.
The musical alias of producer, singer, and performer Robert Alfons, TR/ST masterfully blends swooning synth-pop, confessional darkwave, and anthemic emotionality. Born in Winnipeg, Canada, but based in Los Angeles for over a decade, Alfons has built a reputation as one of the most compelling voices in modern synth-driven music.
His discography includes celebrated albums such as TRST (2012), Joyland (2014), and the double release The Destroyer - Part One and Part Two (2019). With Performance, TR/ST takes his artistry to new heights, showcasing lush electronic textures and emotionally charged lyricism. The standout single "Soon" exemplifies this evolution—a dancefloor anthem with a massive new wave hook, hymnal electronics, and biting lyrics.
