Grauzone does not only focus on music, but seeks collaborations with artists. This year we worked with visual artist Johan and the Flemish MOU museum, where he has a large solo exhibition called ‘‘Universus’’.
The MOU Museum is a beautiful 16th century city museum in Oudenaarde, where we recorded in total six acts a.o. Colin H. Van Eeckhout, Sylvie Kreusch, Bolis Pupul, High Hi and more performances among the works of Tahon.

Last year, in 2020 we invited Tahon to curate GRAUKUNST ARTNROLL where he invited Lee Ranaldo, Marissa Nadler, Colin H. Van Eeckhout (Amenra), Maarten Kinet and more artists who are seeking the bounderies of music and art.

The sculptures of Tahon can be seen all over the world. Restless and filled with longing for the inexpressible, Johan Tahon explores the boundaries of the great unknown. For Tahon, ‘searching’ also means breaking out of the cocoon of one’s own discipline over and over again. He is a passionate music and literature lover, and conversely, many writers and musicians have been inspired by his work. These include the Belgian poet Peter Verhelst, the all-round American artist Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth) and the German singer Till Lindemann (Rammstein). From a young age, Tahon had already discovered that objects lent a lightness to the darkness of existence. This being a perfect match with Grauzone, Tahon put together his own work with artist who create throughout various disciplines. This weekend we will stream Grauzone festival.
