Playlist of anti war songs & links to donate for Ukraine

Because of the ongoing war in Ukraine, we’ve made a playlist with a selection of anti war songs. Music has always been a way of expressing not only our emotions, but also speaking out against wars, oppression and other problems that we have to face in this world. Among other artists, this playlist features PJ Harvey. Two of her albums, The Hope Six Demolition Project and Let England Shake, were inspired by war situations. Her latest album The Hope Six Demolition Project in 2016 was inspired by her travels to Kosovo, Afghanistan and the US, especially Washington D.C where she toured the city with photographer Seamus Murphy. During their tour she encountered the everyday occurrences of life in a city of extremes, where ultimate power and powerlessness reside side by side. These subjects remain very much relevant today.

Other acts featured on the playlist include Anarcho UK bands such as Crass, Zounds (1979), and more recent music by IDLES, to name a few.
